CHAIRS
Luke Helmkamp

Hi, my name is Luke Helmkamp and I will be your chair for CEU. I am very excited as this is my first-time chairing. I enjoy MUN because you can be flexible when bringing your personality and your country’s stance to the debate, where they can mix into something incredibly powerful.
For those that are new, don’t freak out. The world is not going to end, so take it easy. Everyone has been through this. At one point, everyone was too shy to speak. I remember I was like that and I did not enjoy it that much. However, if you participate and collaborate with your delegation, you will have fun. If you choose not to participate, you will not have fun. You are given a great opportunity, don’t waste it!
Hope to see you there and good luck!
Suyash Kothari
Hey! I’m Suyash, and I’m in Year 13 at BPS. I love travelling, listening to old music, eating good food and binge-watching series. I also like reading all kinds of things to let me know if you have any book recommendations!
Model United Nations has been central to my high school life–having joined Bangkok Patana’s MUN programme at the age of 11, I’m passionate about the debate and discussion of topics from across the globe. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of attending about 16 conferences, both international and local. I’ve represented countries with differing stances on a large number of topics and I’ve chaired multiple times, giving myself an understanding of some of the crises that affect different parts of the world today.
I’m really excited to be chairing the Council of the European Union, especially because we’re debating two very relevant issues–Brexit, and the Migrant Crisis. I’m drawn to MUN opportunities like this because they give delegates the freedom to craft their own solutions to real issues through the lens of characters and countries other than their own. It’s such a learning experience, both for delegates and for chairs!

Jingmin Wang

Hello Advocates, my name is Jingmin and I am honored and excited to serve as this year’s BPSMUN ICJ co-president. While my MUN journey has only lasted one and a half years, I have been to many conferences, many of which serving as an advocate of the ICJ. Apart from MUN, I regularly participate in our school’s debate team, and I just love arguing about international issues or any other topic in general. Apart from MUN, I am very passionate about technology and football (it is NOT called soccer. This is one debate I will not have), and I am very willing to talk about these topics as well. Finally, I hope that this ICJ experience will help all of us learn and better ourselves at MUN. I look forward to meeting all of you at Bangkok Patana School
Jitpuwapat Mokkamakkul
Hi, my name is Jitpuwapat Mokkamakkul, but because I know that is quite challenging to pronounce, please call me Earth. I am currently a sophomore at the International School of Bangkok, and I am very excited to be a co-president of this year's ICJ committee. I started my MUN career in my freshmen year, and I immediately fell in love with how much I learned from each MUN conference, whether it be regarding world issues or public speaking skills. Regarding the ICJ, I've been an advocate in the ICJ twice, once at Thai MUN, advocating for the country of Israel in the Israel vs. Palestine case, and another at IASAS MUN, advocating for the country of Mexico in the Avena Case. Aside from MUN, I enjoy singing, traveling, and playing badminton. I'm very much looking forward to this year's debate at BPS MUN, and I'm hoping to meet all of you very soon.
