Maya Lemaire

Hello, my name is Maya, I’m a year 12 student at Bangkok Patana School and I will be one of your UKPC frontroom chairs at this year’s BPSMUN conference. As a participant in MUN since year 7, I have found a vast development in my confidence as a public speaker, from only having spoken once in a conference to actively participating in debate and voicing my opinion. I have chaired committees before and have always enjoyed helping new delegates as well as more experienced delegates to get involved in debate to ensure that everyone is enjoying the conference and I am honoured to have the opportunity to do it again. I’m a bit of a biology enthusiast and an advocate for marine conservation who would happily discuss either with anyone. I can’t wait to meet everyone and participate in another successful BPSMUN conference full of passionate delegates and interesting debate.

I have been part of the MUN community for around 5 years now, and have maintained a fervent love for MUN ever since, taking on a multitude of positions throughout. Aside from MUN I have a fond love for politics and international relations, and have plans to pursue those interests in the future. When at home, you will most likely find me deep into a gritty crime show or political drama on Netflix. I am extremely delighted, and am greatly looking forward to serving as your chair for the committee UKPC, and hope that the conference will be a thought provoking experience for all, allowing for the formulation of unique ideas to stimulate debate, whether you are seasoned delegate or not.
