Human Rights Committee

CHAIRS

Remika Sirikulthada

Hi, my name is Remika Sirikulthada.

Since joining MUN last year in Year 9, I've been opened to the world of debating and tackling global issues to discuss solutions; I quickly became devoted to MUN and would always look forward to upcoming conferences. I am currently a Year 10 student undergoing my IGCSEs with some of my favourite subjects being Computer Science, History and English.

Alongside my affection for cooking and the foods, I spend most of my time by reading, listening to music and binge-watching tv shows (not something I'm proud of). As a chair, I hope to make all the delegates feel comfortable with sharing their ideas and working together with one another while maintaining a smooth discussion. But most importantly, I'd try my best to make sure delegates are having fun! And with that being said, I look forward to chairing the HRC and meeting everyone.

Kanav Patel

Hello, my name is Kanav Patel, I’m a sophomore at NIST International School and I am thrilled to be serving as your chair for the Human Rights Council (HRC) at BPSMUN this year. I am originally from Gujarat, India but I have lived in Thailand for my whole life. I began my MUN journey in year 8 (grade 7), finding immense enthusiasm in increasing my knowledge of global issues. Over the past 4 years, I have been to various conferences such as BKKMUN, SEASAC and most recently IASAS being the most prestigious. My interests other than MUN are playing various sports such as Football, Basketball, Cricket and Softball. I hope this conference displays the spirit of debate to its highest level, urging all delegates to gain all the experience they can. All in all, I am very excited to be your chair for this year’s BPSMUN.
